Bark River Bravo 1 Knife Review

In this review I test out a Bark River Bravo 1 knife. This knife features a beefy blade and great handle ergonomics. The steel is A2 carbon and it holds a fine long lasting edge. The knife blade is about 4″ and is a good knife for someone looking to do heavier camp duties. The handle on this knife is really comfortable and is made out of canvas micarta scales. I really like this knife and it would be a good choice for someone that wants something thicker than other 4″ blades.

Fallkniven F1 Knife Review

The Fallkniven F1 is simply one of the best knives I’ve ever used. It is a tough 4″ blade made of laminated steel with a practical length and great ergonomics. Designed in Sweden, the F1 features tough grips that work in the cold and wet. I recommend getting the Zytel sheath. It is simple, reliable and safe. This is one of my preferred knives to carry when I’m out camping. Highly recommended and well worth the money. Did I mention it’s also the official survival knife for Swedish Air Force Pilots? It’s a great knife!

You can buy the Fallkniven F1 knife through my Amazon store. You’ll get a great price, support the site, and it costs you nothing extra. Thanks!

Trangia Stove and Clikstand

I have been using a Clikstand for years with a Trangia burner. The setup is really light, slick and efficient. It holds a 1.0L titanium pot nicely and can bring water to boil very quickly even in windy conditions. Highly recommended! If you want another slick little set, consider the mini-Trangia cook kit. Not quite as nice as the Clikstand, but still very good.
